Will You Be In That Number?
Series: (All)
August 23, 2020
Minister Daniel Locklear
Psalms 5

Just who you are, isn’t going to get you into heaven. Your social status, your family lineage, and just because you have been going to a church all your life isn’t going to get you into the kingdom of heaven. The Bible says you must be born again. You must be washed in the blood of the lamb to get into the kingdom.

    Romans 1:13-18

Our world has turned into such evilness and become so sinful that God is telling us that if we don’t turn ourselves around, that the wrath of God will come. We have made right wrong, wrong right and called evil good, and good evil. And God said, “My word is true, and if you don’t get your life together, and get on the Lord’s side, you are automatically on the devil’s side.”

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

No Christian should ever be afraid of death. When Jesus comes back it isn't going to take a long time, He is going to come back suddenly. The first coming of the Lord was announced by the angel Gabriel, not only to His parents, but also to the shepherds keeping watch over the flock by night. His second coming will be suddenly. When He came the first time, He was in a manger, but when He comes the second time He will be on the throne.

    Ephesians 6:10-18

God has already given us everything we need to win this battle. He gave us His only son Jesus, who lived, who dies, who was buried, but then got up with all power in His hand. What the devil meant for bad, God is going to turn it around and use it for our good.

    2 Samuel 22:1-7

David knew how to worship God. There were times in his life that he didn’t have anyone to depend on, BUT GOD. David knew that God was his rock, his shield, his fortress, and God, and God alone, that kept him in the midnight hours. God can keep you in the midnight hour too. The world is a mess right now, but God says, “I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. I change not. I am the Lord thy God.” The Bible says He has never seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging for bread. If you are under the blood, you have protection. God is our deliverer, our shield, and He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will be with you even until the end.” He’s just that GOOD!

    Psalms 37:25

The Coronavirus, known medically as COVID-19, has forced the world to embrace a new normal. Everyday life has ground to a halt. Monetary policy alone won’t fix the problem. Political referendums and medical expertise won’t solve the dilemma. Online classes and quarantining the population won’t get the job done. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 gives us the remedy. “When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

    1 Peter 1:13-21

God can fill your needs. Some of us get so busy feeding from the neck down, that we forget to feed from the neck up. We forget to feed the word of God into our hearts. We get so caught up in the things of this world that we miss what God has for us. If you don't eat the word of God, food won't last forever, but the word of God will.

    1 Samuel 17:43-51

God didn't make you to be average, mediocre, or to be mundane. God did not make you to go along to get along. You are not supposed to walk, talk, or live like everybody else. Do you think that he allowed nails in His son's hands and feet for you to be average? Do you think that He allowed a crown of thorns on the top of His head so that you could be like everybody else? God didn't make you to be average, but He ordained you to be great.

    Matthew 16:13-18

Who does Jesus say I am? Over 2000 years ago when Jesus died on the cross and shed his precious blood, he purchased certain benefits for every child of God. Even though there are benefits for every child of God, that have already been purchased through Jesus' death on the cross, satan will rob you of what already belongs to you.

    1 Kings 18

Sometimes when there is trouble in your life, it isn't because of the devil. We blame the devil for everything by saying the devil made me do it, but sometimes it isn't the devil that made you do it, but it was your flesh that made you do it because it was good. The devil doesn't mess with you when you are his. The devil only shows up when things are going good because most people are not satisfied living around the altar.
